The Port of Tilbury London Ltd operates a passenger terminal, four Container Ro-Ro Terminals and a number of Other Bulk Cargo berths. The Port Facility Security Officer also undertakes this role for tenanted berths within the Port estate.
Please note that Tilbury Container Services operate a separate security system and visitors must adhere to their local requirements.
All persons entering the Port estate must be in possession of an approved form of photographic identification. This may be a photographic driving licence, passport or Port of Tilbury London Ltd ISPS pass which is issued free of charge to all Port employees, tenants and selected others. Lorry drivers may be required to show photographic identification before entry into Restricted and certain other areas within the Port estate. Failure to provide such identification on request will result in entry being refused.
Persons wishing to visit ships or operational berths must provide such information at least 24 hours in advance of their arrival. This may be done by contacting the ISPS Pass Office (open 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday) on 01375 852315 or The Port of Tilbury Police (24 hours) on 01375 846781 or by e-mail to: visitorstoships@potll.com . Upon arrival they should present themselves to the ISPS Pass Office and present their own form of identification and complete a pass application form. They will then be issued with an ISPS pass. The visitor must report to the relevant berth office prior to entering any operational area.
Visitors to all other areas within the port estate must have their own identification available. Failure to do so could result in delays on entry to the port and at higher Security Levels entry being denied.
All passes remain the property of The Port of Tilbury London Ltd.
